OUR COMPANY

J. R. Caskey, Inc. has been in operation for 35 years. The company has grown from a small grading and excavation company in 1985 to one of industry’s leading site development firms currently providing a vast menu of construction services in Virginia and North Carolina. We continue to excel in the delivery of Grading and Excavation projects and have added Soil Stabilization and Full-depth Reclamation into their collective skill set of services.

We have the capability and resources to self-perform most of the services we routinely provide. The select subcontractors that we utilize on a limited basis are qualified and guaranteed to provide the highest level of proficiency our Customers expect. We also work closely with our supply chain partners to make sure that project delivery is managed efficiently.

Our experience means that we can approach each new project with the background, resources and expertise that help to improve the design and construction process further. We make it a priority to understand each customer’s needs, offer integrated service and tailor our expertise and solutions to fit. It is our conscious decision to leave a lower environmental impact, a positive ‘legacy’ for every community and campus where we work.

This certified Woman-owned Commercial Site and Utility Contractor has been named VDOT’s DBE Contractor of the Year and earned VDOT’s prestigious Safety Record of the Year in 2017. Both achievements highlighting their dedication and commitment to a safe and positive work environment for all its employees and delivering services that consistently exceed their customers’ expectations.

J. R. Caskey, Inc. received the United States Senate Productivity and Quality Award in 2018 for the Commonwealth of Virginia from Senators Mark R. Warner and Tim Kaine. This recognized JRCI as one of six small businesses chosen by the Commonwealth of Virginia as “Ones to Watch”.
